Aoiassn is recruiting a BC/BE Hepatologist to join the faculty at Banner University Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona. This academic position involves managing liver disease care, providing transplant services, and engaging in medical education and research.

The ideal candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team and is expected to mentor medical trainees while being involved in clinical research. The role provides a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hepatology.
• Training in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology Fellowship is required.
• Active or eligible for an Arizona medical license.

Responsibilities

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Group is recruiting a BC/BE Hepatologist to join its current academic faculty team. This is an excellent career opportunity for a Hepatologist with training and experience in managing all aspects of liver disease to take the next career step in academic medicine at the assistant or associate level. This role will be providing transplant care to patients with end stage liver disease, focusing on all phases of pre and post-transplant care in addition to managing a busy Advanced Liver Disease practice. The Hepatologists work with a dynamic multidisciplinary team and are directly involved in selection committee, quality assurance initiatives, education and research in this growing program.

The Transplant Hepatology position offers an excellent opportunity to begin and advance your career in academic medicine. Become involved with the education and training of Internal medicine/GI residents, fellows and medical students within an academic setting. Opportunities include: teaching and mentorship of Internal Medicine/Gl trainees, preparing/presenting at Departmental/Divisional meetings, involvement with GI/Hepatology clinical research including presentations at National meetings and opportunities for clinical research training through a Masters in Clinical Research pathway.
