WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Certified General Surgeon to join a group of general surgeons that also provide level 3 trauma and acute care surgery at Franciscan Physician Network Indy Southside Surgical Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana with possible outreach to Mooresville. Interested candidate will be joining a fast-paced, talented, and cohesive team. Additionally, this candidate would be collegial and have a strong focus on both clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and operative skills, as well as ability to prioritize patient satisfaction. Candidate will display good interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Physician will need to work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Flexible full-time schedule

  • Schedule is a blend of clinic and OR time

  • Shared call responsibilities

  • Average outpatient volume: 25 - 30 patients per day

  • Average inpatient volume: Varies

  • Inpatient rounding on surgical patients

  • Most common procedures performed:

    • Acute Care Surgery

    • Level 3 Trauma Call

    • Laparoscopic Appendectomy

    • Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

    • Hernia Repair

    • Colon Resection

  • Da Vinci Robot ("Xi" with "Firefly") considerable console time available weekly; Hospital willing to negotiate training and proctoring for a surgeon willing to become competent on robotic-assisted surgeries

  • Reliable instrumentation and equipment
