ProMedica Physicians Group in Monroe, MI, seeks a Family Medicine Physician to join our Monroe Family Medicine Residency program as faculty. The role emphasizes broad-spectrum training with inpatient and ambulatory care, obstetrics not required, and active resident supervision.

You will split time between direct patient care, residency supervision, and occasional weekend support, with strong office staff support and an onsite PsyD for evaluations.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution in the applicable specialty.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Board certified or board eligible in the relevant specialty.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to your role (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS).
• Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Involved in inpatient medicine, addiction medicine, geriatric care, newborn rounding, and obstetrics (not required).
• Faculty supervise residents during clinical time and provide direct supervision for patient care.
• Engage in residency administration time and supervise clinical experiences.
• Participate in a variety of procedures and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to community health initiatives and educational activities.

As the only residency within the hospital, our program offers unique, comprehensive exposure to a wide range of clinical experiences. Faculty are actively involved in inpatient medicine, addiction medicine, geriatric care – including nursing home, newborn rounding, osteopathic manipulations and obstetrics. The program places a strong focus on procedural training, with faculty performing vasectomies, paracentesis, and colposcopy, along with numerous dermatologic, musculoskeletal, and gynecologic procedures. Additionally, we are proud to have a dedicated PsyD onsite who evaluates and manages patients within our office. Our program and faculty are very involved in the community as well. We staff Faith Works, a free clinic, many Special Olympics events, speak regularly at the senior center and participate in many community health fairs.With a focus on preventive care and patient education, across a wide range of medical specialties, PPG helps individuals maintain long-term health and manage complex conditions.
