This position is located at one of the various Indian Health Service Hospitals or Clinics under the Navajo Area Office. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a technical expert within the specialty area of Family Practice, providing diagnosis, care, and treatment of patients of all ages.

For GS-13, 3 years of graduate training or equivalent experience in Family Medicine/Practice is required. Applicants completing training within 9 months should include a letter confirming their expected completion date.
Selective Factor: Board Certification (ABMS or NBPAS) in the specialty, or recent residency completion, or active pursuit of board certification. Verification of certification status must be provided.
Position may be covered by a bargaining unit, with potential incentives and government housing depending on location. Student loan repayment programs are available through IHS, NHSC, and HRSA.
