Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in Virginia Beach area offers a full-time outpatient pediatric position focused on high-quality care for children. You’ll join a large, established pediatric team with opportunities for collaboration with subspecialists, teaching, and research.

The role supports work-life balance and volunteerism within a trusted pediatric health system. The department emphasizes patient-centered care, continuing medical education, and an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in pediatrics (if board-eligible, certification must be obtained within 2 years of residency completion)
• Must possess a valid Virginia medical license
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care
• Excellent rapport with children and families

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate pediatric care in an outpatient clinic setting
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions in children
• Build strong connections with patients and families, fostering a supportive environment
• Participate in rotating on-call duties as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including subspecialists, nursing staff, and on-call triage
• Ensure patient care is aligned with best practices and medical guidelines
• Engage in continuing medical education and professional development

With CHKD Medical Group (CMG), you'll join more than 120 CHKD board-certified pediatricians and nurse practitioners in 19 primary care practices with 27 locations throughout southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
