WVUHS Medical Group seeks a Colorectal Surgeon. Thesuccessful candidate will be expected to practice in the northregion of WVU Medicine.
This group functions as a ‘Regional Team’ and the successfulcandidate could be expected to practice at all locations as needed: Wheeling Hospital, Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Wetzel CountyHospital, Barnesville Hospital, Harrison Community Hospital and allassociated North Region Ambulatory clinics.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area ofColorectal Surgery. In addition to providing excellent patientcare, the successful candidate will also be actively involved inteaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreignequivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license.Candidates must be board certified/eligible in general surgery andmust have completed a colon and rectal surgery fellowship by thetime of appointment. For appointment at the Associate Professor orProfessor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership,excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impactjournals is required. All qualifications must be met by the time ofappointment.
