Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience and five+ years in professional medical coding, with supervisory/managerial experience.
• Coding Certification: RHIT, RHIA, CPC or CCS-P.
• Strong communication, writing and interpersonal abilities, including diplomacy and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, set priorities, and analyze workflow for revenue cycle activities according to policies and guidance.
• Oversee daily activities to meet revenue cycle targets and collaborate across departments.
• Coordinate provider training and ensure charge capture and coding setup for new lines of business; generate reports to monitor deficiencies.
• Communicate regulations for professional fee coding (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, LCDs, NCDs) to faculty and staff.
• Oversee coding staff quality reviews and provide follow-up education to staff and providers.
