Job Category: Revenue Cycle

Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible scheduling, 8-hour shifts. Primarily remote position, may require offsite travel. Banner provides equipment for remote work.

Position Overview: You will support Physician Practices and Profee Coding Teams by providing coaching, training, and education, especially in E/M and Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Risk Adjustment coding. Certification in AHIMA or AAPC is required.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training materials and programs for staff and physicians.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and ongoing education, including regulatory updates.
  • Assess training needs and maintain training records.
  • Support staff with electronic health record systems and ensure coding accuracy for compliance and reimbursement.
  • Collaborate on educational initiatives and develop standardized practices.
  • Stay current with industry standards through professional development.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field, plus advanced training in Health Information Management, and certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CCS-P). At least three years of healthcare information management experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and excellent instructional skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous training/teaching experience, creativity, and adult learning expertise.
