Parrish Healthcare is seeking a Physician Coder to translate clinical documentation into ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes with accuracy and timeliness. You will work under the Coding Manager in the HIM department to ensure compliant coding for professional claims.

The role requires 1 year to <2 years of experience, coding coursework, and certification eligibility within one year. A strong emphasis on accurate documentation and adherence to coding guidelines is essential.

Formación

• Certification or coursework in medical coding required.
• Completion of ICD-10-CM, CPT4, HCPCS, E/M coding courses required.
• Anatomy, physiology and medical terminology coursework required.

Responsabilidades

• Assigns and sequences diagnosis codes, procedures, modifiers, and charge levels using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Queries provider to clarify documentation before coding.
• Monitor documentation turnaround time and productivity; follow up on uncoded accounts.
