The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an Anatomic and Clinical Staff Pathologist at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. The VISN 22 Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (PALMS) encompasses the consolidated laboratories at Tucson Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS). The Anatomic and Clinical Staff Pathologist provides diagnostic services within the Department of Pathology, with potential for subspecialty coverage as training permits (examples include dermatopathology or hematopathology).
The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) is a tertiary care facility offering a full range of clinical services. It is the principal teaching affiliate of the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Surgery, Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, and Pharmacy. The position involves training of medical students, residents, and fellows. The candidate must be eligible for an appointment with the University of Arizona.
