Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pediatrician to join our dynamic clinical research team. In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare providers and researchers to advance pediatric medicine through the evaluation of innovative treatments, interventions, and medical devices. Your clinical expertise will be integral to ensuring the safety, efficacy, and ethical conduct of pediatric research studies, ultimately contributing to improved healthcare outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care and medical oversight for pediatric participants enrolled in research studies
- Conduct thorough health assessments, including physical exams and diagnostic tests, to monitor participants’ well-being throughout the study period
- Diagnose and manage pediatric conditions in the context of clinical trials, ensuring patient safety and protocol adherence
- Implement and follow clinical research protocols to maintain high standards of data quality and care consistency
- Collaborate closely with principal investigators, coordinators, and cross-functional teams in the design and execution of research protocols
- Collect, analyze, and report clinical data in compliance with regulatory guidelines and research best practices
- Educate and counsel families on the nature of clinical trials, obtain informed consent, and address questions or concerns regarding participation
- Monitor patient progress, document adverse events, and ensure comprehensive reporting in line with study protocols
- Stay up-to-date on evolving research methodologies and pediatric healthcare advancements to enhance study design and implementation
- Ensure all research activities comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), IRB approvals, and ethical standards in pediatric research
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics
- Completion of an accredited pediatric residency program
- Active and unrestricted medical license
- Clinical experience in pediatrics with a keen interest in clinical research
- Solid understanding of regulatory standards governing clinical trials (FDA, GCP, IRB, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, especially in interactions with children, families, and multidisciplinary research teams
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in interpreting clinical data
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a clinical research setting
- Familiarity with clinical trial design, data collection, and pediatric-specific research methodologies
- Understanding of ethical considerations in pediatric research
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare and research environment
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities (preferred, depending on patient demographics)
