Job description

Rewarding opportunity for a BC/BE Cardiologist with Cardiac Critical Care experience and/or training to join a team of collegial and highly trained Cardiac ICU staff in Hartford, CT.

Position Highlights:

• Care for patients with complex cardiovascular disease, including pre- and postoperative care, heart transplants, Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), and acute mechanical circulatory support (ECMO and intra-aortic balloon pumps), as well as cardiogenic shock.
• The successful candidate will be able to place chest tubes and perform bronchoscopy.
• The critical care unit is staffed with highly trained advanced practitioners and fellows.
• The Cardiac Surgery service performs approximately 1500 surgeries per year and has one of the highest post-transplant survival rates in the nation.

It is approximately 120 miles northeast of New York City and about 100 miles southwest of Boston, offering a strategic location between these major metropolitan areas.
