Job summary

You will review third‑party and patient billing, ensure accurate data entry, and support the Revenue Cycle team in maintaining timely payments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with about one year of related revenue cycle experience; familiarity with ICD-10/HCPCS/CPT coding is a plus.

• High school diploma or GED and one year of related revenue cycle experience.

• Preferred knowledge of ICD-10/HCPCS/CPT coding and third-party/government insurance plans.

Responsibilities

• Engages in core revenue cycle functions such as billing, claims filing, data entry, charge entry, insurance follow up, denial management, payment posting, customer service, and billing records review.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; adheres to policies and guidelines.
• Prepares and submits clean claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper, accurately and timely.
• Processes assigned reports and patient accounts with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborates with management and coworkers in a professional manner.
• Lists and communicates with patients regarding their accounts; answers billing questions and discusses payment options.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and benefits; coordinates with insurers to resolve discrepancies.
• Duties are general and may change; management may add or modify duties.
