Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to review denials, rebill, and follow up with payers. You will verify coding accuracy, ensure proper filing, and resolve unpaid balances in a fast-paced physician billing setting.

The role requires knowledge of CPT4/ICD10, strong communication, and experience with Epic. On-site work in Delaware, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of revenue cycle processes from patient access to collections.
• Knowledge of CPT4 and ICD10 codes related to physician billing.
• Experience with medical terminology and payer interactions.
• Ability to enter, update and retrieve information via PC.

Responsibilities

• Review denial and no-response queues to resolve uncollected balances.
• Conduct authorization research, rebilling, and balance write-offs as needed.
• Follow up with insurance carriers to obtain payment status.
• Review encounter documents for completeness and coding accuracy.
• Escalate issues and ensure timely filing compliance.
