Job summary

Summit Health Medical Group is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team on a Per Diem basis in New York. You will work collaboratively with physicians to deliver integrated, patient-centered care to both pediatric and adult patients.

Requirements include NY/CT state licensure and board certification, plus 2+ years of related experience. Strong decision-making, analytical, and communication skills are essential to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience treating both pediatric and adult populations.

Responsibilities

• Identify chief complaints or issues.
• Obtain detailed and accurate patient histories.
• Perform physical exams.
• Perform procedures including suturing, splinting and abscess drainage.
• Interpret diagnostic tests (EKG, X-ray, labs).
• Communicate and educate patients.
• Formulate treatment plans and arrange follow-up care as needed.
• Work closely with physicians and support staff to ensure efficiency and proper patient flow.

Compensation Range: $75.00 - $90.00 per hour

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, individual performance, quality measures and location of position.
