Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) seeks an experienced Physician Assistant to provide primary and episodic care in skilled nursing facilities.

You will manage your own panel, build long-term relationships with residents and families, and operate autonomously with continuity of care. See roughly 16–20 patients daily, with 6-hour shifts, no on-call, charting from home, and a productivity-based compensation structure.

Qualifications

• Board-certified PA actively licensed to practice in the operating state.
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
• Ability to exercise independent clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• See roughly 16–20 patients per day in long-term and acute care settings.
• Perform annual wellness visits and H&Ps; manage chronic and co-morbid conditions.
• Coordinate with collaborating physicians, specialists and facility staff to maintain seamless care; update families and participate in care conferences.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, autonomous Physician Assistant to join our clinical team, providing primary and episodic care to residents in skilled nursing facilities. This is an independent role built around continuity - you'll manage your own panel and build long-term relationships with patients and their families.

Your Day-to-Day

You'll see roughly 16-20 patients a day - a mix of long-term chronic care and acute issues. That means annual wellness visits and H&Ps, managing chronic and co-morbid conditions, responding to acute changes, reviewing meds and orders, and coordinating with collaborating physicians, specialists, and facility staff to keep care seamless. You'll also stay in touch with families and join care conferences where it makes sense.

Qualifications

• Board certification required - active and unrestricted.
• Valid, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of operation.
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant with an accredited program.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred.
