Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) seeks an experienced Physician Assistant to join a clinical team delivering primary and episodic care in skilled nursing facilities.

This independent role centers on continuity of care, allowing you to manage your own panel and build lasting relationships with patients and families. You will see roughly 16-20 patients daily, with 6-hour shifts, charting from home after rounds, and no on-call or overnights.

Qualifications

• Board certification required - active and unrestricted.
• Valid, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of operation.
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant from an accredited program.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong independent clinical judgment and ability to move quickly in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• See roughly 16-20 patients per day, mix of long-term chronic care and acute issues.
• Manage chronic and co-morbid conditions, annual wellness visits and H&Ps.
• Review medications and orders; coordinate with collaborating physicians and facility staff.
• Respond to acute changes and ensure seamless care through teamwork.
• Stay in touch with families and participate in care conferences when appropriate.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, autonomous Physician Assistant to join our clinical team, providing primary and episodic care to residents in skilled nursing facilities. This is an independent role built around continuity - you'll manage your own panel and build long-term relationships with patients and their families.

Your Day-to-Day
