Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) seeks an experienced, autonomous Physician Assistant to join our clinical team in skilled nursing facilities, delivering primary and episodic care with continuity and long-term relationships.

You’ll set your own schedule with 6-hour morning rounds (no on-call or overnights), chart from home, and earn via productivity-based pay. High-volume providers can reach up to $624/day, plus a $50,000 retention incentive and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Physician Assistant with active non-restricted license.
• Master's degree from an accredited PA program.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment.
• Strong communication and patient-family interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• See roughly 16–20 patients per day in SNF setting.
• Manage chronic conditions and acute issues; perform wellness visits and H&Ps.
• Review medications and orders; coordinate with physicians and facility staff.
• Maintain continuity of care and communicate with families.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, autonomous Physician Assistant to join our clinical team, providing primary and episodic care to residents in skilled nursing facilities. This is an independent role built around continuity - you'll manage your own panel and build long-term relationships with patients and their families.

Your Day-to-Day

You'll see roughly 16-20 patients a day - a mix of long-term chronic care and acute issues. That means annual wellness visits and H&Ps, managing chronic and co-morbid conditions, responding to acute changes, reviewing meds and orders, and coordinating with collaborating physicians, specialists, and facility staff to keep care seamless. You'll also stay in touch with families and join care conferences where it makes sense.

Qualifications

• Board certification required - active and unrestricted.
• Valid, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of operation.
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant with an accredited program.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong independent clinical judgment and the ability to move quickly in a fast-paced setting.
