Essential Functions
  • Review x-rays and check room for case specific instruments, supplies, and implants.
  • Apply dressings, splints, immobilizers, slings, as directed.
  • Expedite room turnover. Assist with cleaning and prep forthe nextcase.
  • Maintain privately owned instruments.
  • Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations, interpret and correlate laboratory and diagnostic procedures as directed by the Supervising Physician.
  • Order, collect, and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures, and studies.
  • Order, prescribe, dispenseand administer medication, orthosis, orthotics, braces and other orthopaedic devices as may be allowed by state legislation.
  • Design, conduct and/or participate in research studies, manage databases, and perform quality assurance as directed by the supervising physician.
  • Perform minor procedures such as wound care and joint injection as needed.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • As a member of theNOC team, you may be asked to assist whenever or wherever there is a need.
  • Orthopedic Care Knowledge
  • Liaison with Consulting Physicians & Nurses
  • Core competency of privileges granted
