Job summary

Nebraska Orthopaedic Center, PC in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Front Desk team member to greet patients, register them, & coordinate appointments. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30–5:00pm, with a full-time role.

You will verify patient demographics, insurance, answer calls, maintain confidentiality per HIPAA, and support physicians' schedules. A high school diploma or GED and at least one year in a medical office are preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-player mentality and willingness to support coworkers.
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED with at least one year medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner. Relay necessary messages to staff.
  • Verify patient demographic and insurance information and update in the medical record as needed.
  • Maintain and update current information on physicians’ schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly.
  • Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages, and provide information.
  • Answer questions regarding patient appointments.
  • Oversee waiting area, coordinate patient movement, report problems and irregularities.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA Guidelines.
  • Attend meetings as required.
