The role involves clinical assessment, diagnostic testing, and coordinating care within occupational health protocols. The candidate should be a graduate of an accredited PA/NP program with licensure in the state, and have experience in occupational medicine or urgent care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Must maintain state licensure as PA/NP throughout employment.
  • DEA certification required or willing to obtain during credentialing.
  • CMS requirements knowledge.
  • DOT/FMCSA active or willing to obtain during credentialing.
  • Prefer at least one year in occupational medicine, urgent care, primary care or emergency setting.

Responsibilities

  • Examines patients and compiles medical data and exam results.
  • Orders or administers diagnostic tests (x-ray, ECG, labs).
  • Interprets test results and develops care plans.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures (injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care).
  • Counsels patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
  • Ensures accurate documentation and continuity of care.

As a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you wil be subject to the medical protocols established by Concentra and in cooperation with other clinicians assigned to center, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner shall provide medical direction and coordination of care within the occupational health program.

  • Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
  • Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all patients, clients and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.
  • Dedicated to exceeding customer and patient expectations as measured by NPER/NPS/TATs.
  • Ensures accuracy when completing and executing tasks and performing quality assurance checks.
  • Ensures accurate, concise, timely and complete documentation of results and paperwork.
  • Provides an excellent, compassionate and warm patient experience regardless of patient volume.
