Job summary

Concentra, Inc. seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for per diem coverage at outpatient centers in Dayton, OH.

You will examine patients, order tests, and develop management plans while delivering compassionate, efficient care within occupational medicine and urgent care settings. Must have a master's degree in PA studies and board certification (NCCPA or FNP), an unrestricted license, and DEA license.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in PA studies or related, board-certified.
  • Current unrestricted medical license in the jurisdiction.
  • Unrestricted DEA license required.
  • DOT/FMCSA certification either active or willing to obtain during credentialing.
  • Must be eligible to participate in Medicare.
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Examines patient, compiles medical data and results of examination.
  • Orders or administers diagnostic tests (x-ray, EKG, labs).
  • Develops and implements patient management plans and maintains records.
  • Instructs and counsels patients on adherence to regimens and health maintenance.
  • Provides excellent patient care and customer service in outpatient settings.

Education

Master's degree – MSN or Masters in PA studies
Board certification (FNP or NCCPA)
Current unrestricted medical license (state of jurisdiction)
Unrestricted DEA license
DOT/FMCSA certification – active or willing to get during credentialing

Responsibilities
  • Examines patient, compiles patient medical data and results of examination.
  • Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
  • Compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
  • Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
  • Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all patients, clients and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.
  • Dedicated to exceeding customer and patient expectations as measured by NPER/NPS/TATs.
  • Ensures accuracy when completing and executing tasks and performing quality assurance checks.
  • Ensures accurate, concise, timely and complete documentation of results and paperwork.
  • Provides an excellent, compassionate and warm patient experience regardless of patient volume.
Qualifications
