Job summary

Chestnut Health in High Point, NC is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our physiatry team. You will collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other professionals to design and implement comprehensive rehabilitation plans to restore function and independence.

We welcome new graduates and provide a patient-centered work environment focused on compassion, integrity and innovation. You will assess patients, document in EMR, educate families, and support ongoing education in PM&R.

Qualifications

• Actively Licensed to practice in the state where employed
• Current Controlled Substance License required at start date
• Current DEA License required at start date
• NCCPA certification required
• Interest in Physiatry/PM&R essential
• Orthopedic experience is a plus
• Physiatry experience is a plus
• Skilled Nursing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other professionals to develop holistic rehab plans.
• Conduct patient assessments, histories, exams, and evaluate rehab goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to promote independence.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and educational activities.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of evaluations, plans, progress, and discharge summaries.
• Educate patients and families about rehabilitation, outcomes, and post-discharge care.
