Job summary

Umcelpaso with the University Medical Center of El Paso Pain and Spine Center is seeking a Physician Assistant to support comprehensive patient care across outpatient, inpatient, and peri-operative settings. The PA will assist in surgery, perform histories, conduct minor procedures, and manage referrals under physician supervision.

Required are a Master's degree in a PA program, Texas PA license, NCCPA certification, and current BLS; DEA and DPS numbers, plus ability to obtain an NPI, are also

Qualifications

• One year of experience as Physician Assistant preferred.
• Valid Physician Assistant license issued by the Texas Medical Board.
• NCCPA certification (Pa-C) required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must have DEA and DPS numbers and ability to obtain an NPI number.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in all aspects of patient care in outpatient, inpatient, and peri-operative settings.
• Perform first assist duties in surgery and conduct histories, exams, and procedures.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging; educate and counsel patients; render emergency care; facilitate referrals.
