SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant for our Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery team in St. Louis, MO.

The role focuses on first assisting in the OR and inpatient service, collaborating with pediatric CT surgeons and APPs, and supporting care from newborns to adults. Join a team of three pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons and four APPs in a nationally ranked center.

Formación

• First assisting in the operating room (O.R.) and inpatient service.
• Exposure to pediatric cardiothoracic cases.
• Strong communication with families and nurses.

• First assisting in the O.R. and inpatient service.
• Manage chest tubes, pacing wires, central lines, and wound vacs as needed.
• Participate in call rotations covering IP/OR/ECMO.
• Educate bedside nurses, patients, and families.

Job Highlights:

• Flexible full-time schedule of 4x10's or 5x8's
• Primary responsibilities of first assisting in the O.R. and the inpatient service
• Procedures performed include chest tube removal, pacing wire removal, central lines and wound vac management
• Call rotation responsibilities to cover IP/OR/ECMO
• Education with bedside nursing as well as patients/families
• We operate on patients, newborn through adulthood
• Join a collegial team of 3 pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons and 4 APPs
