SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO, seeks a compassionate Physician Assistant to join the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery team.

You will provide first assist in the OR and support the inpatient service for newborns through young adults. Responsibilities include chest tube removal, pacing wire removal, central lines, and wound VAC management, with call coverage for IP, OR, and ECMO.

Qualifications

• Cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred, including surgical first assist.
• Experience performing chest tube removal, pacing wire removal, central lines and wound vac management.
• Certified physician assistant.
• Licensed physician assistant in Missouri (or ability to obtain).

Responsabilités

• First assisting in the operating room and the inpatient service.
• Procedures include chest tube removal, pacing wire removal, central lines and wound vac management.
• Call rotations to cover IP/OR/ECMO.
• Education with bedside nursing as well as patients/families.
• Care for patients from newborn through adulthood.
• Join a collegial team of 3 pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons and 4 APPs.

Qualifications:
