Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, Florida seeks a Physician Assistant to join our pediatric team. The PA will provide care for acutely and chronically ill children, work with infection prevention colleagues, take histories, perform exams, and manage treatment plans.

Requirements include accredited PA program completion, national PA certification, active PA license, and BLS/PALS. ENT and pediatric experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completed Accredited PA program and national PA certification.
• Active PA license required at hire.
• BLS and PALS from American Heart Association required.
• ENT experience required.
• Pediatric experience (1 year) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses with family-centered focus.
• Collaborate with infection prevention team to support infection prevention initiatives.
• Elicit comprehensive or focused health histories.
• Perform complete or focused physical examinations.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic or screening tests.
• Order and interpret radiographs and ultrasounds within the PA scope.
• Develop and revise treatment plans.
• Initiate, monitor, alter, or order medications for conditions treated.
• Order IV fluids and additives.

Nemours is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team in Orlando, Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses, with a patient/family centered care focus.
• This position will also entail working closely with members of the infection prevention team to support infection prevention initiatives
• Elicits comprehensive or focused/interval health history(ies).
• Performs complete or focused physical examinations.
• Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests.
• Orders and interprets radiographs and ultrasounds within the PA scope of practice.
• Develops and revises treatment plans.
• Initiates, monitors, alters, or orders medications related to conditions or illnesses being treated within applicable divisions.
• Orders IV fluids and additives
