Job summary

SSM Health SLUCare Physician Group - Orthopedics in St. Louis, MO seeks a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to collaborate with a two-physician orthopedic team and an APP. The role emphasizes autonomy, mentorship, and work-life balance on a Monday–Friday schedule.

Ideal candidates have orthopedic rotation exposure or certified PA/NP credentials and Missouri licensure. The hospital system offers strong onboarding, clinical autonomy, and a supportive staff culture.

Qualifications

• Orthopedic Surgery practice experience preferred.
• New graduates welcome who have completed an orthopedic surgery rotation.
• Certified nurse practitioner or certified physician assistant.
• RN/NP licensure or physician assistant licensure in Missouri (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities seeing new and established patients.

SSM Health SLUCare Physician Group - Orthopedics Orthopedic Services | St. Louis, MO (1031 Bellevue Ave.) | SSM Health located on the campus of SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to work in collaboration with and support our total joint reconstruction team of two orthopedic surgeons and one APP. SLUCare orthopedic surgeons specialize in surgical and non-surgical treatment of muscular and skeletal diseases and injuries. Our team offers joint replacement, sports medicine, shoulder surgery, spinal surgery, foot and ankle surgery, hand surgery and surgery of the upper extremities. Our team also treats bone cancer, orthopedic trauma and pediatric disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

Position Highlights:

• Schedule is Monday-Friday business hours.
• No call/nights/weekends/holidays.
• Clinical responsibilities seeing new and established patients.
• Ability to perform joint injections.
• Strong onboarding and physician mentorship.
• Full support staff in place including MA.
