SLUCare Physician Group seeks an academically oriented orthopaedic surgeon at the assistant professor level to join the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. You will deliver high-quality clinical care, engage in teaching and mentorship, and pursue opportunities in research and administration.

The role is based at Saint Louis University Hospital with outpatient clinics in the St. Louis metro area, offering a mix of inpatient and outpatient duties and a strong emphasis on education and patient care

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in orthopaedic surgery.
• eligible for Missouri medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient clinical service.
• Teach and supervise residents in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Order diagnostic procedures and review results with patients.

Job Description

SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health is seeking faculty with outstanding clinical abilities who share a commitment to high-quality medical care, education, and professional development for an appointment at the assistant professor level in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

As a faculty member of the department, opportunities exist for clinical service and teaching, with administrative and research opportunities based on interest.

Position Details

• 50% Inpatient, 50% Outpatient
• Full spectrum of Adult Orthopedic injuries and Pathology
• Supervise residents in outpatient and inpatient (OR) settings
• The provider will see patients in an outpatient setting
  • Ordering diagnostic procedures, x-rays, etc.
  • Review findings and present them to the patient
• The Ortho group consists of 15 tenured surgeons
  • consisting of specialist: Total Joint, Foot & Ankle
• Practice will be based at St. Louis University Hospital
  • with the opportunity to see patients in an outpatient clinic in the St. Louis metro area.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
• Qualify for medical licensure in the State of Missouri
