Main Line Health’s Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for Inpatient Orthopedics at Lankenau Medical Center will be a licensed medical provider part of a physician-led team. You will autonomously order diagnostics and therapies, monitor patient care, and serve as a patient advocate while coordinating care across multiple physicians and services.

Qualifications

• 2 years Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
• Two (2) years' experience as physician assistant preferred
• Inpatient ortho experience highly desired, OR experience preferred

Responsabilités

The APP is a licensed medical provider who functions as part of a physician-led health care team that is multidimensional. The APP manages the patients along with the attending physician. S/he will autonomously order diagnostic and therapeutic measures that make sure the patient-care is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and patient-centered. The NP/PA will continually monitor and adjust the care of the patient. A major role of the APP is to be the patient advocate in the medical system. The APP will act as a liaison between the patient and all providers on the team. The APP will coordinate the care of the patient when multiple physicians and providers are involved in the care of the patient. The APP may provide other patient care through the execution of standing orders/protocols and/or routine patient care tasks which are delineated in the written agreement.

Position

Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA), Inpatient Orthopedics, Lankenau Medical Center

Shift

Day Shift, 7am-5pm (Four 10-hour shifts, rotating day off); No weekends or holidays.

Experience

• 2 years Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
• Two (2) years' experience as physician assistant preferred
• Inpatient ortho experience highly desired, OR experience preferred

Education

• Bachelor of Science degree or more in a physical science required
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Surgical Assistant Program, or Nurse Practitioner Program

Licensures/Certifications

• Must be certified or new graduate who is eligible for certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants)
• Active license with Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• May require PALS
• Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
