Job summary

BAS HealthCare in Wallingford, Connecticut, is seeking Advanced Practitioners (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) to join their growing Electrophysiology team. Candidates will evaluate patients with cardiac issues, perform pre-admission tests for EP procedures, and manage device checks.

This full-time role requires a master's degree and relevant licensure in Connecticut. Experience in cardiology and electrophysiology is highly preferred, as well as familiarity with EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant or APRN in Connecticut.
• Certification or eligibility for certification as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an APRN required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new patients with various cardiac rhythm problems.
• Perform pre-admission testing for cardiac EP procedures.
• Conduct cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) checks.
• Facilitate therapeutic procedures including pacemakers and catheter ablations.
• Participate in total quality management to improve patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Join a quickly growing Electrophysiology team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an ambulatory setting
• Evaluate new patients with various cardiac rhythm problems and assess and manage arrhythmia patients
• Perform pre-admission testing for cardiac EP procedures
• Conduct cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) checks and remote monitoring for CIEDs
• Facilitate work up and therapeutic procedures including pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and catheter ablation procedures
• Initiate patient care meetings with the healthcare team to revise the plan of care as the patient's condition warrants
• Participate in total quality management to positively affect patient and system outcomes
• Work across multiple locations throughout Connecticut, with main location in Wallingford and additional location at Hartford Hospital
• Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred
• Must be licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant or APRN in the state of Connecticut
• Certification or eligibility for certification as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an APRN through AACN or ANCC required
• Cardiology experience preferred; Electrophysiology experience is a strong preference
• Cardiac device management experience highly preferred
• EPIC EMR utilized
