ProMedica is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care NP for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Ebeid Children’s Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. This 40-hour-per-week, full-time role supports a seven-physician and two-AP team, with 12-hour shifts and 50/50 day/night coverage.

The position emphasizes acute/critical care across ICU and ED with emphasis on collaboration, comprehensive assessments, and ongoing CME. New graduates considered; require ACNP or PA credentials and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing Practice with Acute Care focus for ACNP applicants.
• Master’s degree for Physician Assistant applicants.
• Current applicable clinical certifications (AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS).
• Active RN and APRN/NP licenses in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage advanced medical care for acutely and critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and interprofessional team across ICU, observation units and ED.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, orders, and interpretations of diagnostics.

Job Summary: ProMedica Physicians Group (PPG) is seeking a Physician Assistant or ACNP for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Toledo, Ohio.

Schedule Hours: 12-hour shifts (total 12-13/month) 50% Day & 50% Night shift coverage required Holidays & Weekends Required, NO Call Required

As the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA), you provide and manage advanced medical care for acutely and critically ill adults with complex conditions. You will work in collaboration with attending physicians and the interprofessional team across the acute care continuum - observation units, general acute care, critical care/ICU and the Emergency Department. The ACNP performs comprehensive assessments, formulates differential diagnoses, orders and interprets diagnostics, initiates and adjusts treatments while delivering high-reliability, patient-centered care

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's Degree of Nursing Practice (MSN) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with an Acute Care focus (e.g., Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP) for ACNP applicants Master's degree for Physician Assistant applicants. Certificate of Authority to practice. Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to your role (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.). Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.

Years of Experience: New graduates with robust acute/critical care RN experience, strong preceptorships, or fellowship completion will be considered based on service needs.

License: Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN/NP) license in the state of practice (or eligibility at time of hire).
