Job summary

Banner Health's Occupational Health and Wellness division in Phoenix seeks a Physician Assistant to join our team in partnership with the Phoenix Fire Department. The role focuses on baseline and annual physical exams, evaluation and treatment of industrial injuries, and ongoing follow-up for non-industrial conditions within a collaborative care team.

The ideal candidate holds PA-C with NCCPA, current AZ license or eligibility, DEA license, ACLS/BLS, and NRCME DOT certification.

Qualifications

PA-C designation (NCCPA) and active prescribing privileges.
DEA license required for controlled substances.
AZ license or eligibility to practice in AZ.
ACLS and BLS certifications required.
NRCME (DOT) certification to perform driver examinations.
Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or orthopedics preferred.
Ability to read EKGs and interpret treadmill stress tests and willingness to training within 6 months.
Schedule: M-F, 7:00a-4:00p, call rotated within team.

Responsibilities

Perform baseline and annual physical exams and occupational medical evaluations.
Evaluate, treat and follow up on industrial injuries and non-industrial medical conditions.
Address infectious and hazardous material exposures as part of the occupational health program.
