Job summary

PAGNY is adding a Physician Assistant - OB/GYN to the NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan group in New York, NY. Metropolitan Hospital is a full-service community hospital providing state-of-the-art care and advanced technology in a modern setting.

The role covers non-surgical management of pelvic floor disorders, in-office procedures, and perioperative care. Requires NYS PA registration, NCCPA certification, ACLS/BLS, and DEA credentials.

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• ACLS/BLS certification and DEA certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Non-surgical management of pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse.
• Manage behavioral, medication, and in-office procedural aspects of patient care.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and perform clinic procedures (pessary fittings, urodynamics, pap smear screenings, biopsies).

Opportunity Details

• Non-surgical management of pelvic floor disorders, primarily urinary incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse.
• Manages behavioral, medication, and in-office procedural aspects of patient care.
• Provides pre- and post-operative care.
• Performs common clinic procedures including pessary fittings, urodynamics, and general women's healthcare procedures like pap smear screenings and biopsies.
• Develops treatment plans in conjunction with the patient and attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management, including contraceptive devices.
• Admits and discharges patients to and from the OB/Gyn Service.

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA
• Must be ACLS/BLS certified
• DEA Certification

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary:$131,127* - $174,836*based on 35-hour work week and years of State Licensure.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**,which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
