Job summary

Nassir Medical Corporation dba Cancer Care Institute in Los Angeles, CA seeks a compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our oncology/hematology clinic on a full-time basis. You will evaluate and manage patients, perform exams, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with the care team to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of PA/NP experience, CA PA/NP licensure, prescriptive authority, and board certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as PA or NP.
• Current California PA or NP license in good standing.
• Prescriptive authority in California (including DEA license Schedules 3-5).
• National board certification appropriate to the provider's discipline.
• Oncology or hematology-oncology experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage oncology/hematology patients throughout the continuum of care.
• Obtain comprehensive histories, perform physical examinations, and develop treatment plans.
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies.
• Monitor treatment response, symptoms, and potential treatment-related complications.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and supportive care.
• Coordinate care with oncologist, primary care providers, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
