AFC Urgent Care seeks an APP to join the team at our Naperville and Willowbrook locations. You will examine patients, collect histories, interpret tests, and, with physician approval, prescribe therapy or medications.

Qualifications

• Valid state license required.

Responsibilities

• Examine each patient, take a detailed medical history, and chart everything medically important in their records.
• Read test results, interpret data, and make diagnostic suggestions based on those results.
• Explain to the patient test results and expected health outcomes.
• Prescribe medication or therapy or perform procedures.
• Work closely with nurses, other Physician Assistants, and Physicians to formulate a full, comprehensive treatment plan.

We are seeking a new APP to join our team at our Naperville and Willowbrook locations. Candidates should expect to work at either location although we will try to keep you in one location if desired and compatible with the practice needs. We are open M-F 8-8 and SS 8-5. All candidates must be willing to work all shift types.

Job Summary

We are seeking an APP to join our team! As an APP, you will be examining patients, collecting patient medical history, and making tentative diagnoses on minor and major issues. You will also be reading diagnostic tests and reports, interpreting data, taking the time with each patient to explain their test results and medical diagnoses, and prescribing therapy or medication with a physician's approval. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, experience charting in a medical environment, and has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
