Job summary

AFC Urgent Care seeks an APP to join the team at our Naperville and Willowbrook locations. You will examine patients, collect histories, interpret tests, and, with physician approval, prescribe therapy or medications.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, documents thoroughly, and provides compassionate, patient-centered care. We emphasize teamwork, strong support from our medical director, and opportunities to obtain additional certifications (DOT, Limited X-ray) which can increase

Qualifications

• Valid state license required.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with medical terminology, charting, and diagnostic tests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine each patient, take a detailed medical history, and chart everything medically important in their records.
• Read test results, interpret data, and make diagnostic suggestions based on those results.
• Explain to the patient test results and expected health outcomes.
• Prescribe medication or therapy or perform procedures.
• Work closely with nurses, other Physician Assistants, and Physicians to formulate a full, comprehensive treatment plan.
