Qualifications

• Active PA license in Illinois
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

• Comfortable working independently in an ARF setting

We are a growing, physician-owned medical group expanding in Evanston, IL seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in the acute setting. This role focuses on pre-rehab and rehab consults.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to Acute and ARF patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Manage patients with orthopedic rehab needs, post-stroke care, and chronic pain conditions
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in Illinois
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start) - Required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a PA (ARF, geriatrics, internal medicine, or rehab experience strongly preferred)
• Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills
• Comfortable working independently in an ARF setting

Preferred Experience

• Acute Rehab Facility (ARF) care experience
• Background in internal medicine, geriatrics, or physical medicine & rehabilitation (PM&R)
• Experience with orthopedic, stroke, or pain management patients

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
