Job summary

SpineSearch is assisting a well-established neurosurgery practice in Fort Worth, TX to hire a Physician Assistant. This role primarily assists the supervising physician in surgery and also provides patient care in a clinic setting.

No call or weekend coverage is required. Key duties include acting as First Assist, performing histories and physical exams, formulating care plans, ordering and interpreting tests, documenting encounters, and collaborating with health professionals to meet patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner/physician assistant program.
• Current Texas nursing or physician assistant license is required.
• Current DEA certificate in Texas.
• Certification as nurse practitioner/physician assistant by an approved certifying organization.
• RNFA program completion is required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as First Assist in surgery at various facilities.
• Performs history and physical examinations and formulates care plans.
• Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests; educates patients and families.
• Documents clinical encounters clearly and timely.
• Collaborates with other health professionals to determine patient needs.
• Ensures HIPAA and billing compliance; adheres to policies; performs other duties as assigned.

TX nursing/physician assistant license

DEA certificate in Texas

Certification by approved certifying organization

RNFA program completed

Job description

SpineSearch is working with a well-established neurosurgery practice in Fort Worth, TX looking for a qualified Physician Assistant to be an integral part of our practice. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the supervising physician in surgery but will also provide patient care in a clinic setting. No call or weekend coverage is required. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Acts as First Assist in surgery at various facilities.

• Performs history and physical examinations, formulates care plans, orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests and provides education to patients and their families.

• Documents clinical encounters clearly, precisely and in a timely manner.

• Works collaboratively with other health professionals to determine the health needs of the patient and their families. Demonstrates and role models an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care.

• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations. Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.

• Other duties as assigned.

Licensing and Certification Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school and nurse practitioner/physician assistant program.

• Current TX nursing/physician assistant license

• Current DEA certificate in Texas.

• Certification as nurse practitioner/physician assistant by an approved certifying organization.

• Nurse Practitioners are also required to have successfully completed an RNFA program.
