Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; graduate of ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• Current NY State PA license required.
• Current NCCPA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take initial patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Initiate, document, and communicate the plan of care and follow up.
• Perform daily patient rounds.
• Write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
• Interpret laboratory and test results.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and care providers to ensure quality patient care.
• Discharge planning: document summaries, prescriptions, and referrals.
• Educate patients on post-discharge care requirements.
