Job summary

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians in Maryland seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Lifestyle Medicine clinic. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to address root causes of chronic disease and support patients with weight management using lifestyle pillars.

The role offers a hybrid work model, full-time scheduling of eight clinical sessions per week, remote admin time where feasible, CME allowance, and paid time off, with malpractice insurance and a bonus

Qualifications

• CRNP/PA license required in MD/VA/DC
• CPR certification required
• Certification in Lifestyle Medicine or Obesity Management required
• 3 years’ experience in primary care, chronic disease or weight management preferred

Responsibilities

• Join Lifestyle Medicine clinic and manage weight and chronic disease care.
• Collaborate with dietitians, medical assistants, and clinicians.
• Prescribe medications for weight management as appropriate.
• Engage patients using motivational interviewing and SMART goals.

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Lifestyle Medicine clinic. Johns Hopkins Community Physicians serves Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC with over 40 locations.

Put your passion to care towards our role as a Hopkins Lifestyle Medicine Provider where you'll help patients address the root causes of chronic disease through the six pillars of lifestyle medicine: nutrition, physical activity, stress management, restorative sleep, connectedness, and avoidance of risky substances. You'll use motivational interviewing and SMART goal setting to support lasting behavior change, and prescribe medication for weight management, including GLP-1s, when appropriate. You'll work closely with registered dietitians, medical assistants, and our primary care and specialty colleagues, who will rely on you to support their patients with chronic disease and weight management needs.

Requirements:

• CRNP or Physician Assistant License in the State of Maryland, Virginia, and/or Washington DC required
• CPR Certification required
• Certification in Lifestyle Medicine and/or Obesity Management required
• 3 years’ experience in primary care, chronic disease management, or weight management preferred
