Position Details

1. Assist Hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H&P’s & follow-up visits.
2. Initiate appropriate treatment & testing for medical illnesses.
3. Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions.
4. Round on rehabilitation patients including long-term acute care patients.
5. Document using EMR system.
6. Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working nights, 7PM to 7AM, 7 ON, 7 OFF.
• Active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Texas licensed and Certified Physician Assistant.
• ACLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of PA experience in ICU/CVICU required.
• Master's degree Physician Assistant.
• Maintain licensure and certification as per state and professional standards.

Additional Requirements

• Report to supervising physician and/or Medical Director.
• Meet CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.
• Apply duties and responsibilities to the THPG patient population and assigned setting only.
