Job summary

An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for night shifts. In this vital role, you will assist Hospitalists with patient evaluations, initiate treatments, and conduct thorough examinations on new admissions. Qualifications

  • Texas licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with at least 2 years of NP or RN experience in ICU/CVICU.
  • ACLS certification required.

Position Details
  • Assist Hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H&P’s & follow-up visits.
  • Initiate appropriate treatment & testing for medical illnesses.
  • Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions.
  • Round on rehabilitation patients including long-term acute care patients.
  • Document using EMR system.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.
Requirements
  • Enjoy working nights, 7PM to 7AM.
  • Active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Texas licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • ACLS certification.
  • At least 2 years of NP or RN experience in ICU/CVICU.
  • Graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing Program with a current RN license for Texas.
  • Certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
Additional Information
  • Report to supervising physician and/or Medical Director.
  • Responsible for CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.
  • Applicable to THPG patient population and setting only.
