Description:We are seeking a locum Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Clientist in a collaborative, community-based environment.This position offers flexible scheduling and an excellent quality of life.Dates of coverage are from December 2026 onwards, with no limits for the right candidate.Shifts are Monday through Friday, with an in-person presence required in the unit during the shift.There is no call coverage for this position.The role is to fill a daytime hospitalist staffing need.The patient population consists of 100% adult inpatients and observation patients.The position entails managing 8-10 patients per day.Required duties include responding to codes and rapid responses.Ventilator management experience is preferred, as well as management of step-down level patients.The patient acuity includes observation and inpatient floor level care, with some intermediate level care.The APP must have the ability to stabilize critically ill patients and arrange for transport to tertiary care facilities.Electronic medical records will be documented using Cerner Community Works, supported by AI scribe assistance.This is a small community hospital environment with friendly and supportive nursing staff.There is a collegial working relationship with the emergency department team and surgeons.Strong case management support is available for the discharge process of medical patients.There is a solid overnight hospitalist team in place supporting patient care.Credentialing timeframe is estimated to be 60-90 days, pending timely state licensure.
