Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Physician Assistant to provide collaborative patient care in inpatient, surgical, and outpatient settings. You will work under supervising physicians, order tests, manage diagnoses, and contribute to care plans in accordance with NYS law and hospital policies.

You will document care accurately, communicate with medical teams, and ensure safety and quality in patient treatment. Ongoing CME and licensure are expected.

Qualifications

• PA program Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
• Prior clinical experience is preferred.
• Must hold NY PA license and NY PA registration.
• NCCPA, DEA, BLS, ACLS, NPI number and infection control credentials required.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for patient care regarding patient management, diagnosis, treatment planning and ordering of pertinent tests, therapeutics and medications as noted by NYS law and hospital policy/by-laws.
• Writes accurately and timely into patient records for all care, status changes, orders, progress notes, and admit/discharge notes.
• Demonstrates ability to work and communicate effectively with medical teams and other staff.
• Provides consultation to nursing and ancillary medical teams and staff of patient condition and plan of care.
• Works collaboratively with supervising physicians and care team with patient-centered safety and quality as a priority.
• Performs delegated clinical duties and tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Practices within scope of the Supervising Physician.
• Communicates assessment, treatment and care planning to patient, families and designated caretakers.
• Facilitates patient continuity of care across multi-disciplinary services.
• Adheres to clinical and institutional policy and procedures.
