Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Gastroenterology team on a full-time, day shift. You will assist physicians in patient care, perform rounds, exams, injections, wound care and coordinate referrals under supervision as applicable.

Eligible candidates must have an AMA-approved PA program grad and PA licensure in Pennsylvania, with national certification or state reciprocity; preferred is prior GI experience and a commitment to high-quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or higher degree meeting licensure requirements in PA.
• National Certification in Pennsylvania or reciprocity with licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in medical care and management of patients, performing rounds, physical examinations, injections, wound care, and arranging referrals.
• Provide day shift coverage and clinic support as part of the Gastroenterology team.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for assisting physicians in the medical care and management of patients, performing such functions as making rounds, physical examinations, and other patient examinations, injections, care of wounds, arranging for patient referrals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required.
• National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Relevant experience preferred.
