Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA is seeking a Physician Assistant - Peds Pulmonary to join our pediatric pulmonary team. This full-time role provides compassionate care for a diverse patient population within a collaborative healthcare setting.

You may diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses, order and interpret tests, and participate in patient education. Required: AMA‑approved PA program, national certification, state licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or higher degree that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment.
• National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
• May order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. May prescribe.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team. May focus on health promotion and disease prevention. May order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. May prescribe.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment

• National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
