Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care and Community Health Network seek a Physician Assistant (PA) to float across urgent care sites in Central Indiana. You’ll provide broad clinical services for patients of all ages, assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute conditions while coordinating with physicians when needed.

You’ll work independently or with a physician, perform minor procedures, order tests, document in EMR, and vaccinate patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a licensed NP or PA in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting (required).
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (required).
• Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting (required).
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays (required).
• Master’s degree from an accredited PA program (required).
• NCCPA Certification (required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention.
• Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Work scheduled shifts of hours as assigned.

About the Role

As aPhysician Assistant (PA)- Float, you will provide a broad range of clinical services to patients of all ages. You’ll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu‑like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. You’ll work independently or alongside a physician, using your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, while recognizing when to elevate care to emergency services.

• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR

• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full‑time experience as a licensed NP or PA in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting (required)
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (required)
• Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting (required)
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays (required)

Physician Assistants:

• Master’s degree from an accredited PA program (required)
• NCCPA Certification (required)

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Multilingual communication skills
