Northwell Health is seeking a qualified PA or NP to join our clinical care team in New York. The role involves patient history taking, physical exams, care planning, rounds, ordering tests, and coordinating post-discharge care to support optimal outcomes.

Candidates should meet NYS licensure requirements, NCCPA or NB Certification, and BLS. The position emphasizes collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to deliver high‑quality patient care in a busy hospital setting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree from ARC-PA accredited program.
• Current NYS PA license required.
• NCCPA certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Master’s Degree in NP with NB Certification and NY NP license required (alternate path).
• NYS Registered Professional Nurse license required (NP path).
• Collaborative practice agreement or attestation as per NY law.

Responsabilidades

• Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations.
• Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients.
• Performs daily patient rounds.
• Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
• Interprets laboratory and test results.
• Confers with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.
• Upon discharge, notes discharge summaries, prescriptions, and any referrals on patient charts.
• Informs patients of the necessary post-discharge care instructions.
