Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine on the Upper East Side seeks a Physician Assistant - ECMO Program Manager to support the operational, quality, educational, and strategic goals of the Adult ECMO Program within the Cardiothoracic Surgery unit.

Reporting to the Medical and Surgical Directors, this role coordinates multidisciplinary care, develops ECMO protocols and education initiatives, manages the program database, and drives quality improvement toward EL SO Platinum Center of Excellence designation.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited PA program.
  • Current NYS PA license and NCCPA certification.
  • Minimum 1 year critical care experience, preferably CTICU/ECMO.
  • Experience with ECMO management and multidisciplinary critical care teams.
  • Experience with ELSO programs and Center of Excellence initiatives.
  • Experience in simulation, education, quality improvement, or database management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop the Adult ECMO Program with Medical and Surgical Directors.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary ECMO care among physicians, surgeons, intensivists, APPs, perfusionists, and nurses.
  • Develop and implement ECMO protocols, workflows, and care pathways.
  • Lead education initiatives and data management across adult ECMO.
  • Track quality metrics and program outcomes; lead quality initiatives.
  • Support ELSO registry participation and accreditation efforts.
  • Manage ECMO database, data access, and reporting.
  • Coordinate onboarding, credentialing, and ongoing clinician education.
